We’ve been honored to have a variety of high end show ewes stand in our barn over the years, and we’re bringing one to Bluegrass Babes that can sure run with them! “Caitlyn” is one that epitomizes a BABE. My favorite view of this sheep is when she’s loose in the pen and throws her head up giving that ultra level look down her topline, while still being shallow from chine to chest with that soft flanked swoop from the side. Not only does she look the part, but she handles just like you’d want a high end market lamb to touch…good hided, big muscled, and firm handling.
Caitlyn’s dam is none other than “Lilli”, which is the Unicorn daughter campaigned by Lilli Berget in 2022. Lilli held her own in the ring, hanging numerous banners and has since turned into one of our most up and coming mamas in the lambing barn. Her first lamb was a Frog wether that went to Allen/Newcomb in our late born group, and she turned around in her second crop and had Caitlyn. Caitlyn was a show ewe for Landen Leibfried, and we retired her after Ak-Sar-Ben where she was named the Champion Division 1 Commercial Ewe.
